Comments: Given 6 reviews that rate this sofabed 5/5, I was disappointed on receiving it. In my experience, it is a very uncomfortable sofa which I shall expand on below. I would recommend testing before purchasing. First the positive points I definitely agree on: looks really good; very sturdy; extremely easy for me to pull out the bed element; storage in the chaise is easy to lift. Function as a bed: Good sized double bed. Easy/Quick to change from sofa to bed. Its quite firm, however I am purchasing a memory foam mattress topper (which I had planned to do so in any case). With regards to it being confortable/uncomfortable: i) Everyone who has sat on the sofa I purchased comments it is uncomfortable. ii) The cushions are very high density foam. This gives after a few weeks. Whilst I wouldn't continue to describe sitting on the sofa as 'uncomfortable', I wouldn't describe it as comfortable. iii) The main problem with comfortability is the geometry of the seating position with this sofa-design. The 'back cushions' on my sofa seem to be overfilled. This means when you sit on the sofa you are pushed forward and the position of the body weight is positioned too far forward on the 'foam seating cushions'. Consequently, the foam compresses at the front of the seating cushions and this results in the body being rotated forward. In my experience, sofa/seats that act to rotate the body backwards are more comfortable. Note, with this design of sofabed the 'seating cushions' are horizontal which may contribute to the problem here. Modifications: To make this sofa more comfortable to sit on, I have removed all the rear cushions and replaced with some small cushions.

It is unfortunate that your guests have been unhappy with the seat comfort. When choosing a sofa bed, it is important to bear in mind each user will have differing requirements for seat height and length, consequently a piece of furniture may be comfy for a 5ft 9 user however a taller person may find the seat proportions sadly lacking in depth and height. Furniture will always be a compromise for a range of users and we hope this does not detract from the overall usability of your purchase. I am pleased to hear that you have been able to adapt the back cushions to make the sofa more comfortable for the taller user.

Comments: I have been looking at this sofa bed for a few months as it doesnt quite fit my room. The reason I want this one is I have back problems and it is extremely easy for me to pull out the bed element, as it is weighted to make it easy work. The storage in the chaise is alsoo easy to lift. The fabric and sofa quality is excellent.
